While she may be initially hesitant with over-the-head pets, she warms up quickly and loves giving kisses. Food-motivated and polite on her leash— outside of her kennel, Trinity’s affectionate and playful personality truly comes alive.

Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Trinity at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Behavior Notes:
1/1/25 volunteer noted: Getting this gal out was not pretty but with patience, four treat pouch refills plus 20 minutes of lassoing was well worth it. Trinity is the wiggliest, happiest girl out of kennel. She was a stray but found wearing a Canada pooch jacket and in great physical shape. She is social with dogs and excellent at reading their energy and play. She also did well meeting dogs through barrier and a small fluff who was nasty. She met numerous dogs and people and was amazing with everyone. She is a bit hesitant to over the head pets initially but shakes off well and quick to become friends. Trinity is food motivated, walks well on leash and just wow. She gave me lots of kisses when returning to kennel before shutting the door but later when I checked on her growling again. She totally just is guarded in the environment. I loved having her out!

BEHAVIOR EVALUATION:
KNOWN HISTORY:
Stray
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
Trinity was on the backside of her kennel when the handler approached. The handler lowered the divider and went to the back and she began to snarl, growl, bare teeth. Anytime the handler tried to lasso her she would charge at the leash and when the handler closed the kennel door to readjust she charged at the door as well. She was very treat motivated and would come forward to take treats and would then retreat again. The handler was able to scatter some treats and leash her while she was distracted. She did not want to exit the kennel once leashed and needed leash pressure to exit.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally
HANDLING:
Once in the room Trinity shook off and was very wiggly. We held her on leash due to her behavior. She was very very stressed in the room and was painting heavily and spinning in circles due to her stress levels. She allowed handling from all three of us in the room and would solicit and rub against us, leaning in for chest scratches especially. She was a bit more sensitive on her hind and needed slower spurts of handling to ease into it. When touching her lower sides by her belly she did give some lip licks and would move away. She did not escalate with any handling though and remained social outside of her kennel. She was very food motivated in the room and took treats gently when offered, as well as showing knowledge of sit!
PLAY:
Engaged in Play
TOYS:
Interest but no possession
12/30/24 staff noted: i attempted to get trinity out for her eval. When I went to the backside she was laying down ad looked up at me with very wide scared eyes. She began snarling and growling when I opened the kennel door slightly and tried to leash her. She would walk up close to the crack of the door like she wanted to be leashed but would growl if i went in with the leash.
