My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ranger is currently in foster care at a rescue in Oklahoma. We are looking for a home in a state where people treat their animals well. He has to be prepaid and picked up directly from transport in one of the cities listed at the bottom of this listing.
If things don't work out for some reason, which rarely ever happens, he will go back to Oklahoma on our next transport until a new home is found.

Ranger is a male mixed breed, our Apple AI is saying breed mixes including English Foxhound, American English Coonhound, Beagle etc...but we can say he is a bundle of joy!
-~11 1/2 months old and weighs 40 pounds (December 29th).
-He came into our rescue as an abandoned dog, miles away from civilization, so he was dumped there on purpose.
-Was quite shy and scared of people when we got him, but he has quickly come out of his shell and absolutely loves people now!
-High energy
-Currently being fostered and is learning crate and leash training.
-Does well with other dogs and we assume with children and cats as well since he is young.
-Is not housebroken but we are sure he can learn quickly.

Ranger is neutered, vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPPx3, Bordetella), has been dewormed and a fecal test, a negative heartworm test, on monthly flea/tick/HW prevention. Health certificate and exam will be performed less than 10 days prior to transport.
Adoption fee is $550, this is including all vetting above and $250 transport cost.

More about this shelter

***All dogs are physically located in Tishomingo, Oklahoma***
Tishomingo Animal Shelter is a no-kill dog shelter ran by the City of Tishomingo, Oklahoma. All dogs are well-cared for and socialized by our animal control officer, Jordan, and volunteers.
We have a supporting 501C3 non-profit, Lucky Paws Doghouse Inc, that helps with the spay/neuter and vaccination of all dogs at the shelter; the Venmo donation link on this page goes toward the 501C3.
Dogs up for adoption nationwide are currently being fostered at Lucky Paws and are not in the shelter.
We are working on getting dogs adopted in the Northeast US and adoption fees (listed in each dog's profile) reflect all included vetting AND the $250 transport fee.
