Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Molly is a sweet, shy old lady who is looking for a family of her own. Surrendered to Cameron Animal Rescue by a former breeder, we don't know what her previous life was like. But we do know that, while shy, Molly is always gentle, and will make a great addition to the right family.
Molly is approximately 10 years old. She is healthy, and although she is missing all of her teeth but one, we think that just gives her a special smile. Despite her lack of teeth, Molly does like to eat, and it wouldn't hurt her to loose a little bit of weight. She has received her full series of DHLPPi (distemper), bordetella, and rabies vaccines. She has tested negative for heartworm and tick-bourne diseases, and has been receiving heartworm and flea/tick preventive. She is spayed, and she has had complete bloodwork, which is normal.
Molly is very sweet and affectionate once she gets to know you. She loves to cuddle close, and she will make a great cuddle buddy for the couch. However, Molly is shy in new situations and with new people, and will need time to adjust. She loves other dogs, and would do very well with a doggie companion. She is good friends with Brownie, another dog at the rescue, but they do not have to be adopted together. Molly is not fully house-trained, and does not walk on a leash, although we have been working on both with her. Because she will not walk on a leash she does need a home with a fenced yard. Molly would do best in a home without young, energetic children. Any potential family must understand that it may take Molly some time to learn to trust and be comfortable with them, and must be patient.
