Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Willow, a lovable and fluffy 1-year-old mix of Golden Retriever, Poodle, and Missouri mutt, weighing 47 pounds. After spending her first year of life in an outdoor pen with her littermates, Willow has made remarkable progress in the last 6 weeks. However, she is still learning and developing trust every day.
Willow is incredibly affectionate and craves attention from the people she feels safe with. While she can be a bit shy and easily startled, especially in new or unpredictable situations, she’s a gentle soul at heart. She may drop to her belly or run when frightened, so she needs a calm, patient adopter who can offer her the consistency she needs to feel secure.
Willow thrives in a quiet, stable environment with a predictable routine. Even small changes, like rearranging furniture, can make her nervous. She will do best in a home where she can take things at her own pace, and her adopter is committed to giving her time and patience. Willow loves teenagers and is playful and friendly with other dogs, making her a great companion for a home with another medium or large dog. She’s also fine as an only dog, and she’s indifferent to cats. Willow has toys figured out and loves her chew bones.
Although Willow is still learning how to walk on a leash, she enjoys the outdoors and would thrive in a home with a fenced yard where she can safely run and play. She’s looking for an experienced adopter who is home often and understands that her transformation will take time.
If you have the time, patience, and love to help Willow continue her journey of growth, she may just be the perfect addition to your family.
Willow is housetrained, kennel trained, spayed, current on vaccinations, heartworm tested, and microchipped.
