â¼ï¸WANTEDâ¼ï¸
We are looking for a needle in a haystack! This beautiful boy is Amos. He’s 1.5 years old and weighs 15 pounds. He’s gorgeous and he is a project. Amos was not well (maybe not at all) socialized. He’s a sweet boy, but does not allow people to touch him. He is going to need a family that has the time and patience that Amos will need. He’s gotten a little better with his foster family, but it’s slow going. We figured it could take a while to find the right family, so we should get the looking started. Here are the list of requirements for Amos’ forever home: His forever family should want to get their current dog a dog. Amos is a dog’s dog and he will need at least one other dog in the house that wants to play with him and show him that the people are good. He will need a very SECURE fence! He doesn’t try to dig out, but if there were to be a hole and he found it, it would be very difficult to catch him. He would do great with a doggy door. His new family needs to be PATIENT! It could take weeks or even months for Amos to allow someone to pet him. He cannot be pushed and he needs to work this out on his own time. No small children in the home. A house without lots of chaos will be heat. He is good when people he doesn’t know come to visit, he just finds a place to lay down or zips around the room a bit. We know he’s gorgeous, we also know that most people want a dog that will snuggle up to them. We feel Amos deserves all the time he needs to be the best Amos he can be! We also believe that there is the right family out there somewhere! If you’d like to adopt from DRSF, you can find our application at
