Jack is looking for his forever home. He was found in Prospect Park, dirty, hungry, and severely underweight at 17 lbs. He wasn't neutered and didn't know how to sit or any other commands. Although microchipped, calls to his "owner" weren't answered, and she didn't return the vet's phone call or reply to messages. We neutered him, got him shots, taught him to sit, and are in the process of crate training him. He's around one year old and has a lot of love and energy. However, he does have some behavioral issues: 1. He has separation anxiety and cries and goes frantic if you leave him. He'll need gradual crate training. 2. He shows some resource-guarding tendencies. When eating, if my cats come over, he'll growl and snap at them. Additionally, when he goes to bed, if I attempt to move the blanket he's sleeping on, he will growled and snap at me, but he has never bitten. Ideally, he'll be with someone with some experience with these issues who has the time and resources to invest in him!
