My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bluejay is a gorgeous, shy and extremely affectionate two-year-old, eight-pound, solid grey cat with golden eyes looking for a loving guardian.

While he is super snugly with his people, he does take some time to warm up to new people, new cats and dogs. He’s pretty fearful, but also extremely curious, at first. He’s lived with children, other cats and a dog in his previous home.

Bluejay came into rescue with housemates Jack, a one-year-old grey tabby with golden eyes; and George, a patch tabby with golden-green eyes. Bluejay can be adopted with either of his former housemates, alone, or to a home with another cat.

Bluejay has perfect litter box skills (whether you have a top entry litter box, or a fancy litter robot) and is just a joy to share a home with.

He is also a healthy eater and his adoption will include all his favorite foods!

He is healthy, neutered, fecal-tested, de-wormed, up-to-date on rabies and distemper vaccines, virus-tested negative, and microchipped.

If you’re interested in meeting and possibly adopting Bluejay, please fill in the adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/cat-adoption-application/ and follow up by e-mailing friendsofpetraits@gmail.com

His adoption fee of $175, or $300 as a pair with one of his housemates, benefits the rescued pets of Friends of Petraits Rescue. Bluejay is being fostered in Chicago’s Andersonville neighborhood.
