Cleo was rescued from a home with 16 other starved and filthy dogs and is so happy to have a clean kennel with cozy blankets, a warm coat and three meals a day. She has had all of her vet care but needs to gain some weight before our vet spays her. During her first hour at the Shelter, she had a blood draw, two vaccines, and a desperately needed bath, and her tail wagged the whole time. She is so gentle and sweet. She knows sit and shake and is well-behaved in the car. She will be fun and easy to train because she loves food. Our staff and volunteers love this dog and are having so much fun spoiling her.

Dogs 8 years and up are $250. Every dog we place is vaccinated, wormed, treated for ticks/fleas, and spayed/neutered prior to adoption. We send each dog home with a collar and leash.
With very few exceptions, dogs are happiest and the most well-behaved when they receive daily exercise and ongoing training, so we always prefer to place our dogs with families who are willing to make a commitment to both.
All adoption meetings are by appointment only as we only have two employees. Our manager or one of our volunteers will be happy to set up an appointment for you to come meet the pets, but please fill out the adoption application first.

We review applications in the order received and do call vet references and contact landlord if you rent.

We are a no-kill shelter, which means no pet will ever be euthanized because it has run out of time to find a home.
