Miss Lady and her son Scamp! They are quite the pair. Aren't they absolutely adorable? Lady & Scamp are approximately 4 & 5 years old, both are up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, spayed, neutered, de-wormed, vet-checked, heartworm negative and are in great health now that they have gained a bit of weight!
Scamp did test positive for Lymes disease. He shows NO signs, but did test positive. He is currently finishing up his medication he was put on for it. (30 days worth)
All they want is their forever home. Together. They are bonded. So they HAVE to go together. But, they are both under 5lbs, so both of them only equal 1 dog right?!?!? HAHA. We also offer an adoption discount when it comes to bonded pairs since they do have to go together.
These two require a physically fenced in yard, no young/small children (older children are fine as long as they respect a dog's space) and someone who has experience with Chihuahua's so they understand the "Chihuahua attitude" as these two definitely know they are Chi's! They are a bit slow to warm up at first, but when they do, they are "Velcro" pups! They are good with other dogs with slow introductions (small and large), also good with cats, just very curious of them and most cats are at LEAST double their size!
If you can open your home and give them forever together, and live IN the state of Wisconsin, please, put your application in at the link below. They are currently being fostered near Merrill, WI.

Rescue For Life, located near Merrill, WI, is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to reducing the homeless pet overpopulation.
Rescue For Life was founded in 2022 to meet the increased growing needs of homeless pets.
Our animals often come to our attention through shelters, police departments, local community, veterinarians, and other animal rescue organizations. Pregnant or nursing dogs are also accepted into our program. We believe all dogs are “adoptable” and simply need to find the right family.
All animals are taken to our veterinarian partners for a complete examination, worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering (as breed/age appropriate) and micro-chipped. We provide medical care and a safe, nurturing environment for our animals to enjoy while they await adoption. Our rescued pets live in foster homes so they experience the love of a “real family” while waiting for their forever homes.
To ensure these animals are placed into the right loving home, we adhere to a rigorous adoption process. Reference and background checks are performed, adoption interviews are conducted along with virtual home visits. All pets are re-homed based on their specific needs and best interest.
Our overall goal is to ensure the pet is healthy, sterilized, and best match for the potential adopter in an effort to reduce any chance that the pet will be returned.
Our organization is 100% funded by donors so that we may provide shelter, medical care, and so much more to the many homeless animals that come our way.
We are very thankful for all our fosters who contribute their time, home and hearts, and enable us to continue our mission of rescuing and re-homing abandoned, neglected and unwanted pets.
