Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Chinkapin is a female terrier mix about 15 weeks old. She’ll also be around 15 pounds full grown. She is a total love bug and will happily stay by her person’s side (or in their arms) all day
A note from the foster: We’ve been fostering these two since early December and they’re coming along well on outdoor potty training (also great with puppy pads), are fully crate trained, and have no bad habits. They’re quiet all night in their play pen and never cry; during the day they only bark when someone pulls up to the house. Both pups get along great with other dogs and kids, have been around horses and chickens, and warm up quickly to new people.
Chinkapin and her brother shumard are extremely bonded and whine without each other. They would love to stay together forever if you’re looking for two super sweet and bonded pups. They would also do ok being separated and would prefer another dog in the home to keep company.
Chinkapin is in a foster home. Please fill out an adoption application on our website if you’re interested in adopting. If you have any questions please email adopt@souldog.org. Once you apply someone will be in touch with you for next steps.

More about this rescue
Soul Dog is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit animal rescue organization founded with the mission to spay/neuter and protect animals. We are currently a small group of committed volunteers making a difference in the life of one animal at a time. As an all volunteer administration, all donations made to Soul Dog go directly to improving the health of the pets that share our lives.
Soul Dog is proactive in animal welfare advancing the need for spaying and neutering our pets to reduce overpopulation. We travel to rural communities on Native American reservations, where spaying and neutering will only happen if it is nearly free or very convenient. Soul Dog works with volunteer veterinarians to provide the spaying and neutering service at no cost to the public. Donations are used to defray the costs associated with medications, supplies, and the operating cost for clinics.
