Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hii my name is Locket, and my life is kind of crazy. I was found site seeing in San Antonio and thankfully they did because I was sick. I was with my two other sisters, and we weren't all feeling the best, the humans said I had something called parvo. Not sure what that is but they took care of me, and I started to feel better. After I started feeling better, a lady called me a parvo survivor so I guess you can say I am a warrior. I am currently in my foster mom's home with my foster brother who doesn't understand boundaries, but I am learning how to play. I am a little shy at first when I meet new people but if they are nice to me and let me warm up, I will greet them with kisses and tail wags. I love to cuddle up and sleep all day, I am crate trained, and potty training is still a working process. I know I need to go outside but sometimes I forget. I like to walk outside but all the noises do scare me a little bit, so I feel more comfortable next to a wall, but I am getting braver every day. I am not super vocal, but I will definitely let you know when I need to go outside or if someone is trying to step on our lawn because that's my lawn! I will be more than just a pet; I will be your best friend just like you will be mine.

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.
San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.
Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.

If you are interested in fostering an animal, please visit our website and fill out our online Foster Application. The more foster homes we have the more animals we can pull off the euthanasia list and the more lives we can save together!
