My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! I'm Emory! I am a year old, and a super sweet and easy-going brown tabby boy. I was hit by a car, and in tremendous pain. The nice people at the shelter were asked if they could take me. (Of course they took me! How could they say no? They believe every kitty deserves a chance!)

I was taken to the emergency vet, where they found out my rear leg was completely shattered. I needed to have that leg amputated. The shelter had been through this with kitties before — several times, actually — and knew I would be just fine.

I have already adjusted to my new life without that rear leg, and I'm doing great! Someone is going to be very lucky to get to adopt me!

Included in our adoption fee, all of our kitties are vaccinated, FELV / FIV tested, dewormed, microchipped, spayed / neutered, and checked out by a veterinarian.

As animal lovers, we have dreamt of creating a non-for-profit rescue 501(c)3 organization in which we could place cats into forever homes with the utmost loving families. Our mission is simple: rescue, shelter, and rehome cats in need.
Our goal is to provide a cage-free and no kill shelter environment for the kittens and cats waiting to be placed. Our area of focus is in McHenry County, Illinois.
