Meet the bestest boy around. We welcomed Perseus a few weeks ago from the Newark Shelter after he was found as a stray. He sat and sat and sat waiting for someone to come adopt him but nobody came. He was transferred to one of their South Jersey locations and the staff just fell in love. They worked with him daily on manners and he caught on so quick. We know that the black dogs are statistically the last to leave so when they contacted us we knew we had to help.
Percy is about 1-2 years old and is the biggest goof, weighing in at about 75 pounds. He is always happy and loves everyone and everything. He gets along well with other dogs (but a meet and greet would be necessary to make sure it is a match). He loves all people but due to his size (and lack of awareness of it) he may be too much for smaller children. He has a lot of puppy energy with frequent big bursts and is convinced he is a lap dog.
Percy is definitely a super chewer and gets so excited over all toys. He loves to play tug of war or just gnaw on a nylabone.
He knows all of the basic commands including sit, down, shake, stay and heel. He is potty trained, crate trained and eager to please. Percy is neutered, chipped, up to date on annual vaccines and 4DX negative.
