My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Microchipped, DOB: Dec 7, 2023

Ciel is a gentle soul with a heart full of love. Though he’s a bit shy at first, this sweet and food-motivated boy is eager to build trust in his forever home.

During the day, you might find Ciel tucked under the couch or bed, quietly observing the world from his safe spot, but don’t be fooled, as he’s just waiting for the right moment to shine and come out of his shell.

Ciel has a soft, adorable meow and a charming habit of flopping down when he feels comfortable, inviting pets from his favourite humans or snuggling up to a friendly cat friend too. He does get overstimulated easily, so an adopter who can read his signals and give him the space he needs will be key to helping him thrive.

Ciel was found as a stray with one ruptured eye which resulted in needing surgery to remove the eye. However, this hasn't slowed him down! He sees very well and has adapted to living with one eye flawlessly.

Ciel dreams of a family with a friendly resident cat who can show him the ropes and help him come out of his shell a bit more. If you’re patient, kind, and ready to let this sweet boy set the pace, you’ll be rewarded with a loyal, loving companion who wants nothing more than to be your best friend!

Additional adoption info

Adoption fee is $225 per adult cat, and $300 for kittens (under 8 months old).

This ensures that the cats that come into our care receive the attention they need, are spayed or neutered, and receive a rabies vaccination at the appropriate age. For City of Toronto residents, the adoption fee includes a mandatory City of Toronto cat license that is valid for one year. As you can imagine, these fees only begin to cover our costs; donations and ongoing fundraising efforts carry us the rest of the way!

Note:
-Senior cats (8 years or older) have an adoption fee of the adopter's choice, vs. our standard adult adoption fee of $225.
-Our adoption fee for an adult bonded pair (8 months or older) is $175 per cat vs. $225 per cat. Thanks for giving two loving friends a home together!
