Meet Lucy (formerly Gertie), a husky mix who came to us from MCACC after being E-Listed for being fearful and shut down. We were grateful to have a foster available to take her in and she has since come out of her shell and shown her true personality.
Lucy was very shy when she first moved into her foster home, but she was quick to warm up and get comfortable with everyone. She gets along well with other dogs, having spent time with both small and large dogs in her foster home. She’s also been very friendly with the cat in her foster home! Lucy walks beautifully on a leash and shows curiosity about other dogs while staying calm. She shows off her husky energy every day with the morning zoomies! She is food motivated and eager to learn, she picks up new commands and tricks quickly. Plus, she’s already crate and potty trained!
With her loving temperament, loyalty and affectionate personality, Lucy would be a fantastic addition to just about any home. Her pleasant attitude around the animals in her foster home would make her a great addition to multi-pet home or a happy only-dog. Lucy is gentle and patient around children, most notably in the 7-12 year range. If you are ready to add this girl with a sweet personality and excellent manners to your pack, fill out an application for Lucy today!

Additional adoption info
We ensure that our huskies only go to families on a property with a 6ft secure fence, and remain the guardian of the animal for life - if there is ever need for a family to rehome their husky again due to health or any other major concern, we are always willing to take the dog back and find them a new home.

We do not have a physical shelter location just yet, and operate solely out of foster homes. We are planning to begin participating in adoption events in the near future - these will be listed on our website once available!
