My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

River and his buddy Carter have just arrived at DHS after their owner was unable to keep them due to a move.
River is shyer than Carter and takes his cues from him. River is very loving and enjoys giving "hugs". He takes a little more reassurance in new settings but once he is comfortable he is all about trying new things. River is a 1-year-old tall and lanky German Shepherd mix. He will need help with his leash skills and basic manners, but overall he is a big goofy character who would love an active home!
River is house and crate-trained, but has not been around cats or children. With his size and bouncy nature, older children would suit him best.
