Hi there! My name is Boris and I am an 8-month-old, 45 lb neutered male. I am already housetrained and am doing well with my crate training. I am still a puppy so I will need to be crated when left home alone. I do best if I am given a stuffed Kong toy before you leave.
I love people including men, women, and older children. I am learning how to greet people appropriately as I currently struggle with overarousal when greeting—displayed mostly through barking and jumping. My foster family is working to teach me that I only get attention when I am calm and I am making progress! I love receiving attention and spending time with people.
I am great with other dogs and respect their social cues. I am currently around other dogs of all sizes and ages without issue. I would love to have a playful canine companion in my home! I like to play with toys, if they squeak then even better! I have been around cats and did well, so kitties are okay with me!
I am an exuberant boy who will need continued training to help me understand what’s expected of me. I am working on going for car rides though I currently get sick. My leash skills are a work in progress. When I came to my foster home, I had no idea what a leash was and find the restriction quite frustrating because I want to approach all the people and dogs I see to make friends. I am getting there, but will need someone willing to continue my leash training. I have already learned sit and am currently working on stay and come! I am a happy boy who would thrive with a committed family of my own—are you my family?
