My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our best Mama, Midnight!

Midnight came to us when we found her and her kittens living in a field in the cold winter. All her kittens have been adopted and now its Midnights turn to find her home! Midnight is initially shy but shy cats bring a unique kind of magic to your life and deserve all the love too!

As a former street cat, she is a little apprehensive at seeking petting and physical affection from people, but she has no aggression at all towards people (choosing to retreat to another location when initially patted) and actually loves getting pets and cuddles when she finally drops her guard. She has a sweetness inside, which is evident when you do get to cuddle her,

Midnight would be a perfect match for a young household without children but who possibly have another cat she can play with, and who are not looking for a cat to be their whole world, but who love the entertainment a cat can bring and the patience to let her become more confident in approaching people for hugs and petting.

Consider adopting a shy baby like this mama. All this shy baby needs is some time and love to blossom into the sweetheart she truly is.

Midnight is:
3 Years old
Spayed
UTD on vaccines, dewormed, FIV and FELV neg, microchipped and spayed
Litter box trained

Additional adoption info

Peace Love and Paws Rescue is an all-volunteer, non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to the rescue and placement of stray, neglected and abused animals. Peace Love and Paws Rescue is completely funded through fundraising efforts and public donations. All of our pets are cared for by foster homes and receive complete medical care, which includes worming, vaccinations, spaying/neutering and microchipping prior to their adoption.

This questionnaire is designed to help Peace Love and Paws Rescue determine if a specific dog is the right match for you and your household. All adopting and fostering parties are required to complete this form prior to adoption. Peace Love and Paws Rescue reserves the right to deny any adoption or fostering based on answers to this questionnaire and/or interviews prior to adoptions and placing foster homes!

More about this rescue

We are three passionate, animal loving dog moms who met through various volunteer efforts at local rescues in the Detroit area. We continued talking outside of volunteering and quickly came to realize that we all had similar goals, to help as many animals in need that we possibly could. In the Detroit area, there are so many animals who need homes, medical attention, and love.

We decided that we wanted to be able to do more to help these animals. We are raising funds through selling merchandise, fundraising, donations, and supporting local community events. All funds raised will be used to establish a nonprofit status, fund the medical needs of local dogs, and find shelter animals their furever home.

Follow us on our journey to create a rescue that provides animals the love and care they need while they find their home. We will post updates on our social media of the dogs we are able to help and how your support made a difference.
