My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hope was originally abandoned in a field where she lived for 3 months on her own! When she was finally rescued, she didn't know who to trust and was very skittish. Even though she was scared, she was the sweetest dog, never showing any aggression whatsoever. After a few weeks, she relaxed and we got to see her more playful side. She now enjoys playing with other dogs and loves to chew her bone. She will need some time to adjust to a new home but, once she does, she will bond deeply and be your best friend. She will follow you around and cuddle with you for hours! She does enjoy playing, but is pretty mellow overall and spends most of her day cuddling. Hope is very submissive and will likely always be a little sensitive. She always wants to please and, if she happens to do something she shouldn't, we only need to say a soft 'no' and she will run over to apologize, offering kisses and hugs. Hope has lived with kids and cats and does well with both! She is housebroken and crate trained. She will sometimes shut down on a leash, but we are working on building her confidence. She is learning and is very smart! She also loves food and would do well with positive reinforcement and treats. Hope is good in a car, but will get car sick if it's not a short trip. She has a little separation anxiety and would prefer a home where her owners are home often and a dog buddy so she is never completely alone. Hope is a 35lb, 1-2 year old Corgi/Shepherd mix. She is spayed, microchipped and vaccinated so she is ready to go home with you immediately! Additional adoption info

Go to our website to fill out an Adoption Application! We will review your app and, if your home is a good match for the pet, we well email you to set up a meeting with your family and current pets. If all goes well at the meeting, we offer a foster to adopt program where you can take home the pet you're interested in for up to two weeks to make sure he/she is a good fit for your home and is welcomed by your other current animals. We just ask that you leave the adoption fee as a deposit before taking your pet home. Any time within the two weeks, if you decide the pet is a perfect addition to your family, let us know and sign the Adoption Contract, we will hand over all vaccine paperwork, and the pet is yours! (If you decide the pet is not for you, the deposit will be returned in full)

Go meet their pets

Potential adopters must submit an application before setting up a private meeting with that specific animal. Once application is reviewed, we will email to make arrangements to set the date/time. We ask that the entire family and current pets are present. Meetings are held at the animals location or at your home. We also have adoption shows occasionally where you can come down and meet some of our adoptable pets. Please check our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/dominoeffectanimalrescue to find out when our next show will be!

More about this rescue

Domino Effect Animal Rescue is a 501c3 non profit, no kill animal rescue located in Temecula Valley, California dedicated to saving the lives of animals in county shelters. By taking in some of these homeless animals, we hope to ease the overcrowding in shelters which leads to euthanasia. We provide care and love to all animals that enter our rescue as they await their loving, forever homes. Each animal is spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and examined by a licensed veterinarian. Some animals require more medical care than the basics and we help them heal so that they can live healthy lives with their next family. We also work on basic obedience and socialization skills to help each pet develop desired behaviors for their future family.
