My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi! My name is Sydney (although everyone calls me Millie), and I am the sweetest little girl you will ever meet. I'm a Cane Corso mix, but everyone says that I'm actually pretty little at 45 lbs and I am super submissive :) I love everyone and all the people I meet just immediately think I'm the best. I've had a pretty tough life though....I had double cherry eyes, so I couldn't really see much, but Big Bones and all the amazing donors got me the surgery and now I'm healing up really well and can see everything! I feel SO much better :) I also have some issues with my back legs, so I don't really like stairs...they say they aren't sure if it's neurological or an injury from abuse, but I don't mind it and I move around really well! I love exploring and figuring out the world, I never really got a chance to do that when I was younger so the world is pretty scary, but I'm learning tons. I love hanging out with my foster brother and sister dogs, and I sleep pretty well in a crate (although I'd much rather sleep with you :) ). Getting tons and tons of pets is my favorite, and they say I have the softest coat. I'm still working on potty training and not chewing things, but I promise that I'm trying REALLY hard. It would be really fun to meet you, so please come say hi in Denver!

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
