My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet McPeachy !!

This guy is a real character. He’s a very active, fun and high energy little guy. He is ready for an active family to entertain him.

Mcpeachy is a Male, 11 month old, Chihuahua mix. He may have some whippet mixed in which would explain his energy level. He weighs 13 pounds and is full grown.

He is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. He is Heartworm negative.

Mcpeachy is a whole lot of puppy in a small package. He is full of life and always ready to go. He loves playing with other dogs and a playful hyper companion would be wonderful for him. He’s an odd mix of crazy hyper energy and couch cuddle buddy. It’s all or nothing with him. He has two modes, wild and lazy 😂🤷‍♀️.

He is a social and happy guy. He loves everyone. He’s not your typical chihuahua in that respect. He’s outgoing and down for any adventure.

Mcpeachy gets along with and loves all other dogs. He doesn’t care if they are big or small. He is hyper so make sure your dogs are ready for an in your face playmate. He has met a few cats and did well. A bold playful cat that stands its ground would be best.

He loves everyone including kids however he is still very much a puppy. He’s hyper and has a tendency to play bite on hands. We’ve been working on it but it’s definitely a habit for him. He’s is also very bouncy and jumps all over people. His wild tendencies are likely too much for smaller kids although it’s nothing aggressive. Kids a bit older would be fun companions for him. If you have a rough and tough little one he can wrestle with and love on he would be great with them (see his pics)

Mcpeachy does have a fairly high energy level and needs a place to run and play all day. He does like to cuddle when he’s tired but is not at all a “lap dog”. He is on the go a lot and does a lot of moving around. He’s a lot of energy at times and likely will be lifelong. If you’re not prepared for a wild and crazy guy then he’s not the one for you. He definitely needs a fenced yard to run in.

He did well on car rides. He has done wonderful with potty training. He’s crate trained and doesn’t protest to much if he’s had enough exercise prior to going in. He’s done well sleeping in the crate overnight. He’s pretty good at leash walking.

He’s had no trouble sharing his dog food treats and toys with other dogs and people.

This fun little puppy was adopted twice from the shelter and returned prior to our rescue taking him in. Please understand that we are telling you up front that he’s a lot. He’s hyper and wild and constantly playing. He’s a wonderful puppy for a family looking for a very active dog. Please don’t adopt him unless you truly can provide the right type of home for him.

Mcpeachy is high on life and ready for all the adventures. If you’re looking for a fun active dog in a small package then he may be the one!

**Due to his need to run he will need a fenced yard. He is tall and lanky for his size so 4ft or above so he doesn’t get out.

Vet and home checks required.
Fenced yard required. 4ft or higher

Located in Hampton VA.
(He will need to be adopted within a 2 hour drive radius)
