My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

HI - I'M OTIS! I'm a sweet and active 5-year-old rednose male Pit Bull Terrier in need of a foster or forever home. I was given up by my owners (for no fault of my own), and now am looking for new people to love me! I came from a home with another dog, and could possibly live with another dog again with a slow and thoughtful introduction. I LOVE human attention and affection, and would be great for someone who works from home. I can jump pretty high and would make a great agility dog. (A 6-foot fence is recommended.) I love, love, love to cuddle, and will give kisses. I also love to chase tennis balls, and then tear them apart! I would do well with an active person or family with older kids. Can you foster or adopt me? I currently weigh about 50 lbs. Please email for an application.

More about this rescue

Freedom Ride Rescue Inc. is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue organization that saves hundreds of dogs and cats annually. We are an all-breed rescue, and do not shy away from tough cases. We believe all animals deserve a chance at a happy life, and we do our best to match people with their new pets. Every time a dog is adopted, it makes room for another needy dog, most often in an overcrowded shelter.

We adopt dogs/cats to people on the West Coast but also to other states as well, as we believe that animal lovers are everywhere! Please consider adopting one of our wonderful dogs or cats.
