Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Teddy is on the search for his forever home! Teddy is a polite gentleman who knows what he wants. He is a pro on leash and likes to give little play bows when he knows it’s time to go on a walk. He likes to do his own thing, but does appreciate having his trusted human friends by his side. He’s the kind of dog who thrives on affection, and once he trusts you, he’ll shower you with cuddles and companionship. While Teddy is full of charm, he’s a bit cautious when meeting new people. He takes his time to warm up to strangers, but once he feels comfortable, he reveals his lovable, silly side. Because of this, we recommend that you bring the whole family along to meet Teddy, so he can get to know everyone at his own pace. If you’re looking for a loyal and goofy companion who will bring joy and laughter into your home, Teddy might just be the perfect fit for you! Come meet him today and see if you’re the right match!
Teddy is neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date with his vaccines. His adoption fee has been generously sponsored. Please email adoptions@hstt.org for more information.
*We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each dog based on personality and the behavior we’ve observed rather than a breed label.

Pet ownership is a serious responsibility. The policy of the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is to ensure that each person who adopts a pet not only is aware of the responsibility, but that each person is willing and able to accept that responsibility morally, physically and financially. Not every person who desires to own a pet should own a pet.
The adoption application is designed to help us make the best placement possible — the right home for each animal and the right animal for your home. The adoption process takes time because we are committed to giving you all the information and support you need to have a successful adoption. We ask for your patience and cooperation in the joyful process of bringing people and animals together.
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR AN ADOPTION, YOU MUST:
• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Provide a suitable confined area for the animal.
• Understand that the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe reserves the right to deny any adoption.
Our adoption fees are as follows: Dogs (over four months) = $110.00 Puppies (under four months) = $160.00 Cats (over four months) = $75.00 Kittens (under four months) = $100.00 Adoption fees will be due upon completion of adoption. Cash, check or credit cards are gladly accepted.

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe is dedicated to saving and improving the lives of pets through adoption, community spay/neuter and humane education programs. Founded in 1994 by a group of committed volunteers, the Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe has become the driving force in animal rescue and adoption for the Truckee region. Over time, we have grown from a small grass roots entity to a nationally recognized non-profit organization with seven employees and hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
