Meet sweet Millie! This adorable little doll will charm her way right into your heart. She will melt your heart as she timidly sneaks over to see if you will pet her. Once she knows you have love to give her, she will curl in your lap and beg for more. She hasn't always had the best life. She seems to be cautious about opening her heart again. We can't wait to get her into a loving home where she will be well taken care of. She scored high on all her tests! You will want to put her in the top spot on your wish list for a lovable companion.
Here are her highlights: 💗💗💗💗💗 Super sweet personality. Loving, and seems like being around people that are gentle with her. She enjoys spending all her time with her hoomans soaking up so the love they can give to her. Preferably on the sofa watching Hallmark channel. She will thrive in a quiet home that can offer her companionship and interaction.
💚💚💚💚💚 🐾Easy to walk. Needs to build some confidence. Timid and unsure in new situations. Good manners. Polite approach to greeting new people. She will gingerly walk to greet you. Highly trainable.
💛💛💛💛 She will thrive in a home that can give her frequent potty outings during the day, to get her used to the new routine.
🩵🩵🩵🩵 Food motivated. Training will be a snap when yummy treats are her reward. Since she was not always given enough food and came to us very underweight. We recommend feeding her in a separate area from other siblings so she can enjoy her meal in peace. Food will always be a big deal! She currently weighs 42 pounds.
👍🟢🐶 ok with dogs. Timid and unsure. Meet and greets required to determine sibling compatibility. 👍🟢🐈⬛ ok with cats. 👍🟢💛 ok with people! Can be timid in new situations. Go slow is the best approach.
We are looking for a very special family that can help Millie continue her journey of healing and becoming her ideal weight. Millie is going to find her hoomans soon! A sweet little compact friend that checks all the boxes won't be around long. You will want to bundle her up and take her home to cuddle with. Just a warning- get those groceries delivered.... you will never want to leave your house again once she moves in!!

More about this shelter
The Humane Society of Wicomico County was started in 1968 by a group of people who wanted to help improve the lives of animals. We have come a long way in our 40+ years! We have a staff dedicated to making sure the animals that come to our doors are loved and protected as they wait for their forever home. Not only are our animals vaccinated, wormed and given flea preventative, we can treat animals that come to us with mange, ringworm, heartworm and pay for animals to be seen by an outside vet should there be a need. We have an on-site spay/neuter clinic that not only is used for our animals but we also offer low cost spay/neuter for animals of the public. We provide emergency boarding for victims of domestic abuse, fire, and medical emergencies. We also have the capability to set up an off-site emergency shelter for people evacuated from their homes. In addition, we have an education program to help teach kids about being a responsible pet guardian. We work with a wide range of rescue groups and our animals have been transported from our mid-Atlantic area throughout the North Eastern United States. Our shelter is an open admission shelter and we will take in approximately 3500 animals this year. We do what we do because of our love for animals and our desire to make a difference in their lives every single day.
