Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Maui is a adorable 6-month old male Pit Bull Terrier mix who was brought to the HSOV on December 21, 2024 after he was picked up on Second Street in Lower Salem Ohio along with his mother (Pua) and his little sister (Moana). None of this adorable trio were wearing a collar, and they were not microchipped.
This handsome little boy has a white-and-brown/brindle short smooth coat, a long tail, and a cute (rather mischievous-looking) symmetrically-marked white/brindle face with dark brown eyes, and large semi-erect ears.
Maui has a happy, outgoing personality and is full of playful puppy energy.
Maui and his sister Moana had their photos taken on the afternoon of December 21st in the Receiving area of the shelter where they were avidly watching the HSOV cats in their cages (and being very vocal). Maui appeared to be the 'ring leader' with little sister Moana being the 'backup'. We aren't sure that we'd trust Maui or Moana to be nice to the kitties.
Maui weighs 34 lbs.
In compliance with the Ohio Revised Code, Maui will be held for 14 days since her owner has been identified .. And hopefully she will be reclaimed.
A Good Samaritan who was familiar with this little family provided their real names ... Pua's real name is Loretta. Maui's real name is Rex. Moana's real name is Angel.
