Whitney is a beautiful soul ready for a forever home where he is safe with people that love him. He has so much love to share in return. He’s such a gentle boy with a laid back personality. Whitney used to live at a cat cafe in Kuwait. But then, the cafe closed and all the cats were left behind. Whitney lived there with his wife and son who traveled to Misfits in the fall and successfully were adopted. Now it’s Whit’s turn.
Whitney has osteochondrodysplasia (Scottish Fold OCD). The gene that makes Scottish Folds have folded ears, leads to bone and cartilage issues throughout their life. Some more severe than others. Whitney is a more severe case. His back feet have extra bone material that makes his feet extra thick. He will need a monthly shot for the rest of his life at a vet office to manage his pain. This typically costs around $60-100 each month. His back feet are currently benefiting from boots that add cushioning.
Whitney is worth the extra effort, though- no doubt! He’s a wonderful boy who loves to be pet and scratched, spending time with people. He’s a bit of a chatty guy too, telling you about his day.
