Meet Blaze: A Gentle Soul in Search of Love ~

Blaze is an absolute sweetheart with a heart full of love and a gentle nature. His journey to us began when he was left behind at a home after his previous owners moved away. Despite this tough start, Blaze's loving spirit remains unscathed.

Blaze had a running partner who has since been adopted, but Blaze himself walks wonderfully on a leash. His leash manners are impeccable - he doesn't pull at all and often turns around to look at you, sitting at your feet to ask for more attention. His gentle behavior on walks makes him an ideal companion for leisurely strolls.

Blaze is slow to warm up to other dogs, but he has a deep affection for people. He gives the sweetest, most loving attention a dog could offer. His gentle nature and loving eyes will melt your heart, making every moment spent with him truly special.

All of our rescues are Spayed/Neutered, Micro chipped, Up to Date on Shots and Heartworm Preventative before they are adopted.
Vet reference, Fenced yard (negotiable depending on dog & circumstances) and Adoption fee of $175.00 are required for adoption.

FAUNA is the newly combined animal rescue organization serving Natchitoches Parish. Members of Natchitoches Humane Society and Natchitoches Hope for Paws have voted to join efforts and work together alongside parish and city officials to help Natchitoches become a low/no-kill community.

Our mission is to provide and promote humane treatment for homeless and neglected animals in need, working together with the community to find them caring homes. Striving to be a low-kill community, we will provide programs and services to create a society of responsible pet owners. As animal advocates we will be a voice for those creatures who cannot speak for themselves.
