Piper is a sweet and affectionate seven-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix weighing 42 pounds. With her whole body wriggling in excitement, Piper is quick to approach people for pets and belly rubs, showing her loving and social nature. When she first arrived at the shelter, Piper was very frightened and would respond to touch or overwhelming situations with high-pitched vocalizations. However, she has made incredible progress and now eagerly seeks attention from those around her.
While Piper has blossomed into a friendly and engaging companion, she can still become fearful if startled, handled roughly, or overwhelmed by excessive activity. She would thrive in a calm, consistent home environment. Piper would be a perfect couch companion for an individual, a couple, or a family with older children who understand and respect her sensitivities.
Piper’s adoption fee is $150, which includes spaying, vaccinations, microchipping, and a complimentary wellness visit at Phoenix Mountain Animal Hospital.
If Piper sounds like the ideal addition to your family, don’t hesitate to schedule a meeting during adoption hours, Thursday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm, by calling 602-971-1334. Piper can’t wait to find her forever home where she can share her love and snuggles!

Home Fur Good has trained adoption counselors to review and question any potential problems/issues with application. We do require an adoption fee which ranges for dogs $150-$300 and for cats $50-$100. All cats and dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and vet checked.
If another dog or dogs are present in the household we require a meet and greet prior to adoption. All members of the household must be on board with adoption. We do not adopt our rescues out without meeting person that will be responsible - no "gift" adoptions. We contract that if cat/dog must be relinquished they are returned to us. If there is a change of ownership we must be kept informed who responsible party is. Fees are non refundable.

More about this rescue
Home Fur Good is a non profit no kill animal shelter located in the NE Valley. We take a majority of our cats and dogs from County, many who have treatable medical conditions and would otherwise be put down. We assess physical and behavior and work with the cats/dogs to find the best suitable match. It is our goal that each cat or dog that comes to our shelter ultimately be placed in their "furever" homes.
We also operate a low cost vaccine and microchip clinic each Sunday. We want to help community be able to care for and keep their animals safe. We do not charge vet fee only fee for vaccine and microchip. Additionally we have a low cost dental clinic each Wednesday. Check our website for more details.
