My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Juno is looking for her forever home! 🐾

At first, she might be a little bashful—don't worry, that's just her way of getting to know you. Once she warms up, though, you'll see her true playful and loving side! Juno enjoys a good cuddle session and can’t resist a little attention when she feels comfortable. She might take a bit of time to show her full personality, but once she trusts you, she’ll be your loyal and affectionate companion. If you're patient and gentle, Juno will repay you with purrs, snuggles, and endless joy! 💕 Ready to help this sweet girl come out of her shell? Adopt Juno and let the snuggles begin! 🐱✨

Juno is approximately 1-2 years old. Her adoption fee is $125 plus tax.

More about this shelter

The Lakes Area Humane Society (LAHS) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, which was formed in 1989 by a group of concerned citizens. These citizens wished to make a difference for the animals in our community and opened their homes to foster stray and unwanted animals. To help define their purpose, these dedicated people created the following mission statement; “The mission of the Lakes Area Humane Society is to promote responsible care and training for household pets through education and public awareness, and when appropriate, to provide a safe and sheltering haven for lost and abandoned animals pending placement in suitable permanent homes.”

The Lakes Area Humane Society provides many valuable services to our community. Some of our services include:

Ø impounding strays,
Ø assisting local law enforcement in abuse/neglect investigations,
Ø educating the public on spay/neuter programs to help reduce the number of unwanted pets,
Ø teaching the importance of appropriate pet care and training,
Ø providing shelter for animals whose owners are no longer able to care for them,
Ø reuniting lost pets with their owners, and
Ø facilitating adoptions of homeless animals to pet owners seeking life-long companions.
