My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Canello, the mom of the 5 puppies posted earlier.
She likes luxury pillows and blankets to sleep on, cuddle time on the couch, and endless belly rubs.
Canello is not a lazy dog and would be best matched with someone who can keep her busy and active. She does not like to be crated, locked up, or confined, but will tolerate it for short periods of time.
She doesn't play much, but has fun running around with her pups.
She has a sweet and tolerant personality.
She has not been around cats, but has been around kids. She does well with them as she understands she needs to be gentle and doesn’t jump on them. Canello is 3 years old and weighs approx. 50-60 pounds. For more details, please reach out to animaladvocatesofnorthtexas@ymail.com

More about this rescue

We assist shelters and find homes for their adoptable pets.
We take professional photos, write bios and post to adoption websites.
We also provide funds for medical care, foster animals and find foster families .We organize adoption events and give presentations to schools on the importance of spaying /neutering and vaccinating animals.
For the last 12 years, we have been working with several small rural shelters who have limited space and would have to euthanize due to lack of space. We pull their animals and get them into foster homes until we find their forever homes.
We devote many hours to getting animals out of shelters and into foster and permanent homes.
