My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This gorgeous youngster is Rocky, he is currently 7 months old. He is a Bluetick hound mix who was surrendered to us since he does not want anything to do with being a hunting dog. Can't say I blame him though actually. He is your typical goofy hound who loves to have fun and find some silly shenanigans to get into, lol. He does great with other dogs who he loves to goof around and wrestle with them. He does chase the resident cat though, so perhaps no kitties or someone who has a cat who stand up to him, he just wants to play is all. He is a smart boy who understand when you tell him no, but again he is a hound so may try to push some buttons, it is just how they are. Loves, loves people and loves to get his silky ears rubbed. He is a big ol puppy who is hoping to get a second chance at life just being someone's buddy or sidekick, and not exert himself with things like hunting. If you are interested in this oh so handsome boy an online application can be found at SandiPaws.org ask for Rocky

Additional adoption info

See our adoption process at www.sandipaws.org/adoption

A successful adoption depends on the selection of the right pet for your household and your understanding of your responsibility of adopting a rescued animal. Our adoption procedures have been designed to make sure all rescued Sandi Paws pets are placed in an appropriate, loving forever home, and to make sure all adopters find the right fit for their family. Prior to adoption, all dogs and cats will be given all age-appropriate vaccinations, including rabies, kennel cough, parvo and distemper, spaying/neutering, intestinal deworming, heartworm testing/treatment, microchipping, and monthly heartworm medication and flea prevention.

Note: We will adopt pets outside of Wisconsin if we can do necessary background and reference checks and the adopters agree to provide necessary follow up information. Also, the adopting family must agree to travel to pick up the pet and agree to transport them back to Wisconsin if they need to be returned at any time.
