Raqual came to Pathways super frightened. It’s been just a few weeks and she’s come out of her shell nicely. She’s pretty inquisitive now. She will be your shadow. Always right behind you, just to see what you are doing. She’s ready to find a family who can show her not everything is scary in this world.

Raqual is a 5 year old dachshund/chihuahua mix. She gets along with all sized dogs and humans. We are unsure of cats. She is current on vaccines, microchipped and her spay is scheduled.

In some circumstances, meeting the dog and a home check are done at the same time if the dog is ready to be adopted. We do have conversation with potential adopters prior to them meeting the dog. If they are interested in adopting a puppy who is not ready for adoption (not altered, not UTD, etc) they are able to put a hold on the pup until ready for adoption.

Pathways for Paws was founded in October 2019. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit, no-kill, animal welfare organization.

Our mission is to make spay/neuter & vaccinations affordable to those in our communities. By achieving this, we will help prevent the neglect & abuse of dogs. All dogs in our care are spay/neutered, given the age appropriate vaccinations and microchipped before going to their FURever families.

We work with rescues & fellow animal advocates to continue growing a network of volunteers and supporters.
