Meet Bella: Bella is estimated to be an 18 month old (as of December 2024) and guessed to be a boxer/bully mix of sorts that weighs about 35 pounds. Bella was surrendered to rescue after she hurt her foot and her owners gave her away to someone who realized they couldn’t care for her. Bella was evaluated by a vet and it was determined that her foot was injured beyond repair and her leg needed to be amputated to ensure an infection wouldn’t spread and threaten her life. Bella is all healed and has adapted well to her 3 legs (her injured leg wasn't much use to her before, so her transition occurred quickly). Bella is currently being fostered in the south and would love to take the freedom ride north to Pennsylvania to meet more prospective families. Bella is the most affectionate dog you could ever meet. She greets everyone by immediately jumping up against them for love and pets. Bella will join you on the couch during a Netflix binge or a football game and snuggle against you at night. Bella gets along perfectly well with other dogs and has lived with cats in the house without incident. Sweet Bella gently wrestles with small ten pound dogs and has shown no food aggression issues in a common feeding area. Bella seems to prefer the inside to outside. Bella is a great pet and companion and will thrive in many environments. Bella is house trained and currently is using a doggie door. She may need patience while adjusting to a new system, but she has seemed to have the concept fully mastered. We would love for Bella to have a fenced in yard to run and play freely. Bella is up to date on her shots and is spayed. If you are interested in giving this little love a home, please go to Charlie’s Crusaders website (www.charliescrusaders.org) to fill out an application.
