My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Hamin!

Currently being fostered in Vancouver, BC.

Hamin can be a little shy at first, but offer her a treat you’ll quickly win her over! With a bit of time, she warms up beautifully, even seeking out affection and asking for belly rubs once she feels comfortable. She’s wonderful with children under 13, When she trusts you, she’ll even roll over to show you her belly!

Hamin is also a social butterfly with other dogs. She loves greeting both familiar and new friends and enjoys playtime with them. She’s well-mannered, even when other dogs act out, and finds comfort and confidence when she has canine companions nearby.

She’s curious about cats but listens well on walks, happily following your lead if she spots one. She’s calm around indoor cats, making her a great potential addition to a multi-pet household with the proper introduction.

Hamin has a moderate energy level, loving outdoor adventures but settling down quietly afterward. Her leash manners are impeccable—she doesn’t pull and walks right by your side. While she enjoys peaceful paths, busy streets with cars can make her a bit nervous.

This quiet girl rarely barks, shares her food and toys willingly, and is a dream in the car, staying calm in her crate. Hamin is the perfect blend of playfulness, affection, and good manners, ready to bring joy to her forever family!

She was rescued from a city shelter and has blossomed into a loving, playful companion.

More about this rescue

Adopt Korean Rescue is a volunteer-based federally registered not-for-profit organization dedicated to helping homeless and unwanted dogs in South Korea find a new home in Canada.

We love Korean dogs. Many of them live in chains, give birth on the side of the road, or wander around with their pups. Some of them get caught and end up at dog meat farms or high-kill shelters in South Korea. They luckily meet us just before euthanasia or after many years of living in dog meat farms. We exist to hold their paws and help them find a forever home in Canada full of joy and happiness.

Our dog rescue work depends on our flight volunteers. They help us safely bring our dogs from Korea to Vancouver or Toronto airports, where the dogs will find loving forever or foster homes.
