My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Lil Starsky and his brother Hutch are two adorable puppies who were found as strays (probably dumped) and taken to a very small rural shelter in Tennessee. A shelter is no place for vulnerable puppies, so Critter Cavalry sent a volunteer to came to their rescue! Lil Starsky was a very hungry pup but so loving and trusting. This little boy looks like a Shepherd mix that is black and tan and at 10- weeks he is 11 pounds and destined to be a 60 pound boy as adult. Even though he was found as a stray, this boy is social, loving, playful and full of energy to run and play with his brother. Affectionate is a great description of this little guy who will snuggle right next to you and contently sleep like the innocent puppy that found his way to safety. Most all our dogs are fostered in Tennessee and transport up to the Northeast or New England. Our fees start at $500 and can be higher depending on the dog and circumstances for their vetting. All fees cover the health certificate, transportation up to designated places for families to pick up their pre-adopted dog, spay/neuter, rabies, all shots, fecal and dewormings, microchip, complete vet check up and 4 way heartworm test if dogs are older than 8 months.

We are a group of dedicated rescue people who want to save as many dogs and cats from the local shelters before they are euthanized. On the average....there are only 1 out of 10 animals that get adopted from a shelter. We are dedicated to helping increase pet adoptions by offering a shelter animal a foster home to go to while awaiting an adoptive family to find them on our Petfinder website.
