My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kiwi, a dashing 7-year-old gentleman with a heart ready for love and a past full of stories! Found as a stray, Kiwi’s wandering days are behind him, and he’s eager to settle into his forever home.

This independent boy is perfect for someone who works outside the home, as he’s quite content with his own company. While he’s not a fan of being picked up, Kiwi adores gentle affection and will happily soak up your love on his own terms.

Kiwi is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped—fully prepared for the next chapter of his life. If you’re looking for a calm, loving companion with a touch of independence, Kiwi might just be the perfect match for you. Come meet this handsome boy today!

More about this shelter

West Valley Humane Society is an open-admission animal shelter in Southern Idaho. Serving all of Canyon County, and surrounding areas. We take in the stray, surrendered, abandoned, neglected animals in our community. In 2017, we took in 7,778 animals. We believe that every animal deserves a second chance.

We contract with the cities of Nampa, Caldwell and Canyon County to house stray and owner surrender animals that their ACO's, or the general public, bring to us.
