Hi, my name is Blanky!  I’m a 3 year-old male Pomeranian Mix, weighing in at a petite 12 lbs. My life so far has been a journey of survival, but now I’m ready to start a new chapter filled with love, kindness, and joy.   I was rescued from an illegal breeding facility in Korea, where dogs like me face unimaginable cruelty and hardship. Millions of dogs are mistreated or slaughtered each year, and I was one of the fortunate ones saved by compassionate rescuers. They gave me the gift of life and a chance to experience something I’d never known before, hope.   After being rescued, I was scared and unsure of what to expect. But with time, patience, and care, I’ve learned to trust and open my heart. Now, I’m ready to leave my past behind and find a forever home where I can truly thrive.  I’m a gentle, sweet, and loving companion who enjoys being around people of all ages, including kind children. I get along well with other dogs and would love a family who can give me the affection and attention.  I’ve been missing. Whether it’s a stroll in the park, a cozy snuggle on the couch, or a car ride to new adventures, I’ll be by your side, making every moment special.  I’d do best in a home with a family who understands that rescued dogs need time to adjust and blossom. To make my transition smoother, we recommend working with our skilled pet rescue trainer, who can help me settle into my new life with ease. My adoption fee of $1,495 (tax-deductible and essential for supporting future rescues) covers Spay/Neuter.  DA2PP, Rabies, and Bordetella vaccinations, Deworming and Heartworm testing, Microchipping, Boarding fees, health certificate, and airline transport from Korea to Seattle. For safety, all adopted dogs must have a GPS tracker or Apple AirTag. You can bring your own or purchase one from us.   When you adopt me, you’re not just giving me a new start—you’re helping save other dogs still waiting for their miracle. Your support allows Ginger’s Pet Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, to continue its lifesaving work and provide critical medical care for animals in need. Email admin@gingerspetrescue.org to request an adoption application or to learn more about me. Donations to help with vet bills at Greenwood Vet are always appreciated—they make rescues like mine possible. I’ve come so far, and now all I need is a loving family to call my own. Will you be the one to give me the happy ending I’ve been dreami ng of?

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The first step to adopting a pet from Ginger’s Pet Rescue is completing our Adoption Application or submit via our Contact Form on our website. This application will allow us to know more about your family, what kind of pet will fit best and your home, and whether you will be a good match for one of our dogs. Please include the dog(s) you are interested in on the application. We review applications upon receipt and will reply as soon as possible, usually within 1-2 days.

Adoption fees are listed on each pet and depend on a number of the factors. Adoption fees are what allow us to continue our rescue, as our primary source of funding.

If for any reason the dog does not work out, we are willing to take the dog back and refund your adoption fee less a $100 rehoming fee.

More about this rescue

Ginger’s Pet Rescue is one of the largest non-profit pet rescue organizations in Washington state, and we specialize in saving Death Row Dogs. Our mission is to give homeless animals with no hope the life they deserve through rescue, foster and adoption. We rely on a large network of fosters in the Seattle area, who provide our dogs with love and care during transition from rescue to adoption. We do not have a physical shelter location; to meet the dogs in our rescue, contact us to connect with a foster or join us at an adoption event!

Ginger’s Pet Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. We rely solely on the support from adoption fees and donations to help us provide for the ~100+ dogs in our rescue at any given time.

How We Rescue

We take in dogs from local families in need, in state and out of state shelters, and we also work with overseas rescue groups on occasion. We do not discriminate – we rescue dogs small and big, old and young, healthy and sick, purebred and Heinz 57! Our belief is that every dog deserves a forever home.
Our History

Ginger’s Pet Rescue was founded in 2006 by Ginger Luke after saving one Dachshund’s life turned into a life-long endeavor. The organization is dedicated to providing great care for our dogs and adoption efforts!
