GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS!
GOOD WITH CHILDREN!
GOOD WITH CATS, TOO!
Nutmeg is a prime example; this is what his foster person said about him,
"The dog belonged to a neighbor, he got him as a puppy, then he left him to his fate, he was always on the street, 3 months ago I saw him skinny, with mange and sad. That is when I decided to take him to cure him, they never claimed him from me, he has always been on the street and played with 10 year old children, he has eaten near cats and other dogs, he has never fought with another dog, he chases pigeons and tries to catch birds."
An incredible testament to how dogs are not only resilient but committed to people. Nutmeg is safe and in a foster home; he lives with other dogs. He was not fed or provided vetting but he was never physically abused and hence, he has a great attitude about life, towards all humans and dogs and cats.
When he meets applicants, he may be shy, he may be unsure. Who can blame him? It takes time to adjust to new humans, but he is in it for the long run.
He is developing his house training skills. This is what real rescue is all about.
