If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Hazel is an eight month old Australian Shepherd mixed with a little Chihuahua. We got Hazel from a family whose dog had a litter unexpectedly. She is a very energetic and playful puppy. She loves to play fetch and tug of war, and most of all just loves to run. She is extremely food motivated and will do whatever it takes to get her paws on some treats. I'm looking for someone who can give Hazel all the attention she needs and can spend time with her as that is not something I can provide for her at this time due to my mom's declining health. She used to be my mother's dog but I had to take over for her as she got a brain tumor, and due to the aggressiveness of the tumor, I have to focus a lot of my time on her and not Hazel. Right now, Hazel is cooped up in her pen for 20 hours a day, so she needs to be able to have the freedom to be out and about. She has anxiety which has resulted in some aggressive behavior due to lack of socialization.
