My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Atticus was rescued from a shelter and is living the good life in foster care while he waits for his forever family. He's eight years old and 49 lbs and still loves to run and play as much as he does relaxing in a comfy bed. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and tested light-positive for heartworms. He has begun treatment and this will come at no extra cost to his adopters.

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period. Our Purpose is:

To rescue adoptable dogs and puppies from animal shelters and animal control facilities

To rescue dogs and puppies from abusive and neglectful situations, including puppy mills and "backyard breeders"
