Luna is a social butterfly, always eager to make new friends, whether they`re fellow dogs or children. Her playful nature is contagious, spreading smiles wherever she goes as she noisily expresses herself. She can be quite the chatterbox. Luna weighs 12 pounds and is leash trained, making walks a breeze, but she`ll need your help with house training. She knows the sit and stay commands. Despite her adorable overbite, she`s a cuddly sweetheart who loves nothing more than snuggling up after a day of fun. Her idea of fun includes running, toys, walks, water, and chase. Pet Adoption Fees
CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.

CAP is proud to announce that through life-saving adoption and transfer programs and a lot of hard work, we have maintained a placement rate of over 93% for all homeless pets surrendered to our shelter in 2021. In 2021, CAP provided care for 10,260 animals; this includes animals surrendered by the public and transferred in from animal control agencies and rescue groups, animals already in the shelter and foster care program, feral cats trapped/neutered/returned and animals receiving vaccinations and other treatments in our low-cost vaccination clinic, The Cornelius Clinic.
