My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there! My name is Kyrah, and I’m a sweet, gentle, and loving 10-year-old tortoiseshell cat. I may have a few years under my paws, but that just means I have lots of wisdom, a calm demeanor, and plenty of affection to share with the right family. My journey to the shelter wasn’t easy—I came from a situation where I was not treated kindly, but I am so thankful to be safe now. I’ve been learning to trust humans again, and every day I’m getting more comfortable, showing just how loving and playful I can be. I’ve been through a lot, but my spirit is strong, and I believe that the perfect, patient family is out there waiting for me. I’m a friendly girl who gets along well with other pets, including dogs and fellow cats. I love to curl up on a soft blanket and watch the world go by, and I can’t wait to find a home where I’ll be cherished for the wonderful companion I am. I might be a little shy at first, but once I get to know you, you’ll see that I’m full of purrs, cuddles, and sweet moments. If you’re looking for a loving, low-maintenance kitty who would be a great addition to a cat- and dog-friendly home, I might just be the one! I’m ready to find my forever family, and I hope you’ll consider giving me a chance to bring joy into your life.
