Sweet Mongo is a 5 year old house dog. He was surrendered with another dog after his owner suddenly passed away. Mongo is very shy and takes a few minutes to warm up to strangers. He is a couch potato with a chill personality. Mongo is looking for a loving, kind owner that will go slow with him. Due to his sensitive demeanor he would be more comfortable in a home with older children. He is house broken, listens well and is already well trained. Stop over soon to meet with charming Mongo.

Additional adoption info

All potential adopters must be at least 21 years of age.
An application must be completed and can take up to a week to process. Once an application is approved, family meets, dog meets (if applicable) and home checks must be completed.

Go meet their pets

Our orphanage is open to the public Monday-Friday from 12pm to 7pm, with the exception of the second Wednesday of each month during which we are closed for major cleaning.
On weekends you can visit our orphans between 12pm and 5pm Saturday and Sunday. We also have some adorable adoptable cats and kittens at offsite locations: PetSmart in Marlton and PetValu stores of Cherry Hill, Marlton and Voorhees.

The Animal Orphanage of Voorhees is a loving place that welcomes 2,000 homeless pets each year. Our shelter is open intake, which means our doors are open to dogs and cats of any age, medical condition or breed. We are a no-kill facility and do not euthanize for space.
We are a non-profit organization and depend on donations and volunteers to keep our shelter doors open.
