My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Grey was hunched on top of the den, appearing a bit tense but sniffed treats and begin eating them while allowing petting on his cheek, head and along his back. Afterward, he came down on his own to eat more treats while appearing to remain tense, hunched, but still willing to eat.

Grey tolerates attention and petting but appears to be moderately fearful or stressed in the shelter. He may be a little more independent, and may need time to warm up to his new home. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in nervous cat behavior.

A volunteer writes: Little man Grey isn't telling us about his backstory. But considering his mellow personality and the pettings he enjoyed, we have a feeling this Brooklyn boy is a former house cat socialized with people and canny enough to do pretty much anything for yummy treats. Our behavior team found him to be calm, sweet, and shy, and they deemed him to be a good fit for most households who understand his shyness might mean he needs a little warm-up time. His photo makes him look a little shell shocked, but don't let that fool you; Grey is a chill young guy deserves to be in a forever home where he'll be cherished and loved. Introduce yourself to this gray and white beauty today!
