LULIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:  Lulie            Best Guess for Breed:  Schnauzer/Lab

Best Guess for Age:  8 months as of Dec. 2024            SEX:  Female

Estimated Weight (puppies' weights change quickly!):  27lbs as of 12/27

Gets Along With:  Other dogs! We haven't seen Lulie with cats or kids but she can be tested.

Currently Living at:  South Carolina shelter; needs DC-area foster or forever home.

Special Adoption Considerations:  Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Lulie would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes.

Lulie is Looking For: Hiya! I'm Lulie! Me and my littermates, Legend, Loki, Lucy, Lena & Leo, have loved our time together, but we are each ready to pack our bags and find our very own forever home! I'm looking for a home that will let me play with toys and get my puppy zoomies out and give me snuggles in between playtimes. I can't wait to explore my new neighborhood on lots of walks, and I'd really like to make a bunch of doggie friends along the way. Oh, and I should probably take a puppy obedience class or two so I can show you how smart I am. What do you say? Do you have room in your heart for me?

What My Foster Says About Me: Coming soon!

Puppy Vetting Requirements:        Lucky Puppies have had their age appropriate vaccines, but may not yet be “fully” vaccinated. It is the adopter’s responsibility to ensure that the remaining puppy vaccines are given at the appropriate time. Please also keep in mind that, until your puppy is fully vaccinated, they are at greater risk for illness than an adult dog.

Your new puppy will need to work on their house training and will also need to go to obedience school so they can grow into a well-socialized dog!

TO ADOPT:       The adoption fee for this puppy is $465, which includes the cost of routine vetting and transport from the shelter.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Go meet their pets

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
