This is one lucky duck!!! He was abandoned and lived in the wilderness for a month--with no outdoor experience!! He was finally trapped by a kind rescuer, and came to SAMS, where he has been the most loving and sweet boy there is. He is just so happy to have consistent food, water, and love! Stray Animal Midway Shelter (SAMS) was incorporated in 2010 with our focus being spay neuter assistance. In Noovember of 2013 SAMS purchased property and now operates as a no-kill shelter in Peoria County. We work closely with local and surrounding county shelters and obtain healthy and adoptable pets that would otherwise be euthanized for lack of space. SAMS receives no funding from government, state, county or municiple entities and are funded solelyby fundraising and donations. You can help by volunteering, adopting and donating to our cause.
