Hello
My name is Eros . I am about 5 ½ months old . I am a full-blooded miniature schnauzer ,but not registered. I am a little shy meeting new people but can turn into a little love bug quickly. If you are my friend, the kisses and wiggles will be nonstop! I love to play with other dogs in the house. My favorite thing to do is hang out in the window overlooking my big dog friends outside. Sometimes I can just be a silly boy and go in all out play mode. When my foster dad comes home from work , he spoils me with rides on his shoulders around the house. I am pretty good at hanging on and I love it.
I have only been in the house to date. Only been outside for trips to the vet for my checkups. I am crate trained and have always used puppy pads in the house. We live way out in the country and there is wildlife that would endanger me. So, my foster mom kept me in the house while growing up.
All my vetting is done , including vaccinations , neutered and micro chipped. My adoption fee covers a health certificate to travel and transportation from Tennessee.

Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP) is based in rural Polk County Tennessee. We have no shelter or animal control in our county. Currently we are the only 501C3 non-profit in the county. We advertise our animals out of state ,which gives them better odds of a happy long life.
Our dogs and cats are fostered in TN with loving families. You will have the opportunity to speak with the foster of the animal you are interested in. All our Cats and Dogs are completely vetted ,which includes spay/neuter, vaccinations , microchipped (dogs only)and heartworm testing (dogs) . All of them come with complete medical records ,which travel with them. Their adoption fee covers a health certificate from the vet and transport fee.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Michigan area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs and cats are transported up to their new owner’s biweekly! We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog/cats can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date we have placed over a thousand dogs and cats in loving homes!

More about this rescue
2008 a small group of animal lovers met and started a group to be named Safe Haven Animal Rescue Program (SHARP). These animal lovers personally saw the effects of a rural county with no animal shelters. Polk County is in the far South-eastern corner of Tennessee. It is a very rural county with most of its 442 sq. miles belonging to the Cherokee National Forest. Unfortunately, the beauty of the mountains and forest has drawn people to drop family pets off to survive on their own.
SHARP’s dedicated members knew becoming a 501(c)3 would help with fund raising and achieve long term goals. With our new status achieved, SHARP put together a new mission statement and strategic plan to guide the group forward.
Our group consists of hard-working everyday volunteers with the passion to give time and love to every dog or cat taken in. Currently we use a foster based program to house our dogs and cats. Each dog or cat taken in is given all vaccinations, heartworm checked (dogs)and spayed/neutered before being offered for adoption. SHARP dogs and cats are kept with their foster parent and treated like a member of their own family. The foster-based system allows us to give detail to potential families about each dog’s and cat's characteristics and needs. Of course, the tears flow when it is time to hand a dog or cat over to a new family, but the tears are always followed up with a smile knowing one more dog or cat has a forever home.
