My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Diamond and Arty (litter mates and very bonded) came to us from a couple who were moving to North Carolina to an urban area for work and could not take their precious pyrs. There was no room for them and they had to move for their job. They were heart broken. We found them a place on a small hobby farm just north of Billings months ago but Diamond likes to wander and easily hops their makeshift fencing. They do not bothering anyone, just say hello but this has caused issue with one neighbor and they keep getting law enforcement involved. They are threatening legal action now. They were supposed to get 12 acres of land but now it is just 2 acres and there is just not enough space for our girl, shes social and likes to go say hello. They do enjoy being inside and outside. She is a gentle giant, jumps on the trampoline with kids, 3 / 5 Great Pyrenees Rescue Montana Pre-Surrender Questions Lord, Tara 10/1/2024 loves and protects our cat and can sit, lie down and take a walk with her sister. She is afraid of thunders bit, but not overly so. She hates to get her claws clipped and doesn't like to go to the vet. Other than that, she is a great, loyal and sweet dog.

4 years old, UTD on all vaccines, both spayed

Get along with others dogs, goats, sheep, cows, chickens, cats

Kid friendly, around babies as young as 1 year/2 year old and they are great

Guards property well from predators and intruders (the UPS man)

They are being fostered by our pyr guru Tom in North Dakota/MT line!

Additional adoption info

Great Pyrenees Rescue, Montana's mission is to help rehabilitate abused and displaced Great Pyrenees dogs, and find them the best forever home.

Adopting a friend
We work hard to find the best home for our dogs. We want this home to be their forever home. An adoption application is required with a vet reference. A home visit is also done. PERMANENT, SECURE FENCING IS REQUIRED Our adoption donation for most dogs is $275.00 for our dogs and this money is used to cover vet expense, spay/neuter charges, transport expense and caring for our dogs until they are adopted. A senior dog age 8 or older and our special needs dogs, we ask for $175.00 donation. This adoption donation is lower because you may need more health care for the seniors or special needs. We want them all to find a happy home and to be loved forever. FENCING FOR THIS BREED NEEDS TO BE AT LEAST 5 FOOT HIGH.
NOTE: The electric underground fencing is unacceptable for this breed.
