Meaty is a dog who embodies his name. With Meaty, not only do you get a handsome face but also a nearly 70-pound weighted blanket. Meaty loves his people and his emotive face will melt your heart every time. He loves to play tug, fetch, and is an expert at getting toys’ squeakers. Meaty currently lives with a female dog and does very well with her – he is playful, but also respects her cues and gives space when needed. Don’t let his robust body fool you – he is quite speedy and loves doing laps around the yard.
Meaty is food motivated which helps with his training and he is working hard on his leash skills. He is non-reactive to other humans or dogs on walks while he is on the move. If he’s close to another new dog, he will express excitement. His fosters are working with him on not pulling the lead, and remaining neutral or non-reactive. Meaty has shown a lot of improvement already and would love to continue his training (and cuddling, lots of cuddling) with his forever family!
Our data base requires us to give an animal a breed. The breed given to the dog is our best estimate, and should not be used to predict future behavior.
