HAPPY HOLIDAYS FROM BENJI! Benji is an almost 4-year-old Boxer-Pit mix in need of a forever home. He's currently in a foster home. Benji has had a rough go of it in his short life - he was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and later was attacked by another male dog at a boarding kennel. He is almost healed from his attack though looks a little rough around the edges during the healing process.
Benji is very much a couch potato dog in that he loves to lounge on the sofa or sleep on your bed. He's a huge snuggler!
He has done fine around other dogs, but given his recent trauma we think he may be best as the only dog where he can get all of the deserved love and attention. He's very affectionate, and loves belly rubs. Benji is also an active, strong boy so he needs a strong owner, and someone who can take him for walks, hikes and other outings. A big, fenced yard would be a plus, but is not a necessity.
He does have a prey drive for squirrels and bunnies, so probably would do best in a home without cats. Overall he's a mellow, easygoing boy. He weighs about 60 lbs. Please email for an application.

These dogs are being fostered in Idaho. We are a registered 501c3 animal rescue organization in the State of California. We adopt out dogs in Southern California and in the Pacific Northwest, and in some cases we work with rescue partners in specific locations, to help facilitate adoptions.
